You can keep batana oil in your hair for 30 minutes to overnight to multiple dats, depending on your hair's needs and your routine. Here's a breakdown:

5. How are you different from other sellers?
Our Batana Oil is REAL, 100% Batana with no additives and from Honduras. We are one of the only sellers that we are aware of with a Certificate of Authenticity.
6. Who is Dr.Sebi and what does he have to do with Batana Oil?
Dr. Sebi, whose real name was Alfredo Darrington Bowman (1933–2016), was a self-proclaimed herbalist and healer known for promoting natural remedies, plant-based diets, and holistic healing methods. He gained prominence for advocating an "alkaline diet"that he claimed could prevent and cure diseases. Dr. Sebi often discussed the benefits of natural products derived from plants, particularly those used by indigenous peoples in Central and South America. Batana oil is one such product he highlighted because of its traditional use and benefits.
7. How long does it take to make Batana Oil?
It takes weeks to make just 1 KG of batana.
8. Why does Batana Oil smell Burnt ?
This is due to the traditional extraction process. Batana oil is extracted from the nuts of the American palm tree (Elaeis oleifera). The nuts are roasted over an open flame or low heat as part of the extraction process. This roasting imparts the smoky, burnt scent characteristic of batana oil.

10. Why is my Batana Liquid or Solid at times?
This is due to Temperature Sensitivity. Batana oil has a melting point of around 76°F (24°C). Below this temperature, it solidifies into a buttery or waxy consistency. Above this temperature, it becomes a liquid.

12. Is palm oil the same as batana oil? Or is there another name for batana oil?
No , palm oil is different from Batana Oil.
- Palm Oil: Derived from the fruit of the oil palm tree (Elaeis guineensis), which is primarily grown in tropical regions like Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.
- Batana Oil: Extracted from the nuts of the American palm tree (Elaeis oleifera), which is native to Central and South America, particularly in regions like Honduras.
13. Is Hondurus the only place you can get pure batana oil? Can you get it from 'china' for example, or even countries in Africa?
Yes. If it is made in China or Africa or any other country it is fake or not pure. Batana Oil comes from La Mosquitia, Honduras. Period. Ask for the Certificate of Authenticity from Honduras to check. We are one of the only companies with a COA.
14. What color is batana oil?
Batana oil is dark brown, nutty color. If yours is green color means it is fake.
15. Is 'liquified' batana oil real?
This one needs clarification. Remember, Batana Oil is solid in cold temperatures and liquid in warm. However, if the Batana Oil is completely liquid and does not solidify with cold temperatures then it is not pure. There are companies that sell "Batana Oil" as a pure liquid with a dropper. That is not pure 100%.
