Can You Eat or Consume Batana Oil? No, here's why

Batana oil is not meant for consumption. While it is derived from the American oil palm (Elaeis oleifera) and technically edible in its raw, unprocessed state, most batana oil on the market is produced for cosmetic use only and is not food-grade. While Batana Babe is 100% Batana Oil, there are many sellers who sell their batana mixed with other chemicals.

At the end of the day, all cosmetic batana oil is not processed or tested under food safety standards. It may contain impurities, contaminants, or additives that are unsafe to ingest. Labels and manufacturers typically indicate "external use only" for this reason.

If you are seeking edible palm oil, look for food-grade red palm oil instead. Batana oil should be used only as directed—on hair or skin—not in cooking or food preparation.
